Antarctic Ozone Depletion Persists Area Expands to Around 25 million square kilometers on 12 September. The rapid expansion coincided with a sudden fall in the minimum temperature around 20 Km above the South Pole, at the 50 hectopascal level. తాజా గణాంకాల ప్రకారం అంటార్కిటికా ఖండంపై ఉన్న ఈ ఓజోన్ రంధ్రం విస్తీర్ణం ఈ నెల 12వ తేదీ నాటికి ఏకంగా 2.5 కోట్ల చదరపు కిలోమీటర్లకు చేరుకుంది.
